Norman City Council passes conversion “therapy” ban
Nearly 100 residents showed up to the special city council meeting, including members of PFLAG, Pride, and other LGBTQIA+ advocates. The ordinance, which bans the practice of attempting to change a person’s sexual orientation, was passed unanimously.

PFLAG’s mission is to support, educate and be advocates for the LGBTQ+ community, their families and friends, including those that exist across the intersections of marginalized and at-risk communities.
PFLAG bringing resources, Pride celebration to Norman this weekend
PFLAG, a nonprofit designed to support the LGBTQ+ community, will host a drive-thru resource fair in Norman this weekend to kick off Pride month and offer community assistance.
PFLAG trains Norman Police Academy
For years, board members of PFLAG Norman have attended Norman’s Police Academy to educate the new officers on understanding the LGBTQ+ community. This training ranges from discussions of implicit bias to interacting with transgender individuals.
HB 1888 is no more!
Victory! Hundreds of you took action and the Legislature had no choice but to listen! When our communities band together, there’s nothing we cant accomplish. Thank you to all the Legislators who worked to protect their LGBTQ2S+ constituents, and to each of you, who took action on behalf of yourselves, your loved ones, and every single LGBTQ2S+ person who calls Oklahoma home!
