Join us for our 5th Annual PFLAG Picnic on Sunday, September 12th, 11am-1pm at Rotary Park. PFLAG’s support meetings and annual picnic have been a cornerstone for LGBTQIA+ support in the Norman community. This became clear based on the high attendance at this year’s first in-person meeting. As a board, we discussed and agreed on how vital it is to continue this support in person. However, safety is our highest priority. Therefore, we have been closely monitoring the COVID-19 developments with the upmost concern and are taking the following precautions for this event:

·         While we urge all participants to be vaccinated, we strongly encourage everyone to wear a mask when not eating or drinking.

·         Masks will be provided free of charge. Hand sanitizer will also be available.

·         We will carefully handle and provide all of the food and drinks (no potluck style this year). Food will be a box-lunch style from a local vendor. Board members and volunteers will be wearing a mask and gloves when passing out food and drinks.

We fully understand and recognize that circumstances may prevent some from attending the picnic this year. This is not an easy situation for anyone but we urge everyone to get vaccinated and continue to take precautions.
