HB 1888 is no more!

We did it! Hundreds of you took action and the Legislature had no choice but to listen! Because of your work, HB 1888 did not advance before today’s legislative deadline. That means, barring a suspension of the rules, it is not eligible to be heard this session. YOU made that possible. Thank you, and congratulations to us all. 

We've seen multiple versions of HB 1888 over the past week, each of them as terrible as the last. We knew we could not let any attack on our communities slide, and we knew you wouldn’t let them either. You came through and together we won. 

This victory belongs to each and every member of our communities. We are endlessly grateful to each of you, and to the Legislators who worked tirelessly to protect the dignity and safety of their LGBTQ2S+ constituents. We’ll remain vigilant through the rest of this session to make sure this and other bills that attack our communities do not resurface. We know the fight is far from over, but with you on our side, there’s nothing we can’t do. We love you. We value you. Let’s keep building, together.
