Contest Rules

●        Eligibility

1. All participants must be registered or need to register for the PFLAG Norman email list. You may sign up at NomanPFLAG.org.

2. There are no age restrictions, but anyone under the age of 18 must provide written consent from a parent or guardian expressing their agreement to the rules and regulations of the contest for their child. 

●        Restrictions

1. Designs may not express favoritism or dislike of a political party or religion. The design may not include offensive imagery or profanity.  PFLAG does not endorse any of these.

2. No photography allowed.

3. Watermarks are not allowed. 

●        Originality

1. The theme of the design must be LGBTQ+ positivity, such as inclusion, equity, educational, love and compassion. The design may include a written message.

2. The design must be simple and clear to understand.

3. Handmade drawings in the design are permitted.

●        Submission

Deadline for submitting your designs will be February 11th at midnight.

Important: Underage contestants must attach the consent letter as requested above.

●        Multiple entries

One design per contestant.

●        Choosing the Winner

Submissions will be sent to PFLAG Norman members through email for a vote. Only first names will be attached to the designs. No full name, address, age, sex or gender will be posted. This to keep the competition honest.

We will give the members 2 weeks to decide and on February 25th, 2025, the winner will be contacted via email.

●        Prize for the Winner of the Design Contest

1. 2 printed T-shirts of their design with the PFLAG logo and sponsors on the back of the t-shirt.

2. PFLAG swag.

3. The winner of the contest will be announced on social media and by email.

●        Waiver

1. The artist agrees to waive any intellectual property rights, including copyright, in exchange for PFLAG Norman’s use of the design. 

2. The design must be original and unpublished work. You must own the rights to the design and guarantee that it doesn't contain any copyrighted material. 

●       Third-party rights

The design must not include any material that requires third-party consent or violate any third-party rights. 

●        Liability

The artist agrees to indemnify the contest organizer from any claims or damages that may arise from PFLAG Norman’s use of the design. 

●        Privacy

PFLAG Norman may use the personal information provided by the artist in accordance with their privacy policy. 

●        Goals: 

PFLAG Norman want you to know that our goal is to promote Oklahoma artists and inclusivity with the contest. The donations we receive for the t-shirts will be used to continue the work of PFLAG by promoting advocacy, education and support for the LGBTQ+ community and its allies.
